Dalkia: their challenges and the solution provided by Nomadia

The Nomadia Field Service software suite allows energy services specialist Dalkia to manage the schedules of its 10,000 technicians, including 4,000 field technicians, to better anticipate their activity and optimize their availability. In order to continuously address the energy transition challenges of its clients, represented by more than 20,000 contracts in France, Dalkia is pursuing two distinct projects:
  • A business transformation project aimed at reorienting team organization—consisting of 3,000 technicians and 500 supervisors—for better planning, reduced urgency, and improved customer reporting before, during, and after interventions.
  • An information system project designed to consolidate information into a single tool, distribute it efficiently, and simplify the existing system by merging agenda management and assignment/scheduling functionalities into one solution.

Dalkia was therefore looking for an application that manages availability schedules and features both manual and automated assignment and scheduling engines. Recognized for its openness, integration ease, and simplicity of customization, Dalkia chose to rely on the Nomadia Field Service solution, and more specifically, on its new scheduling module. Thanks to the implementation of this geo-scheduling tool, Dalkia manages the availability schedules of its technicians, enabling fast data entry and information sharing with other applications in the company’s information system (emergency task assignments, mobile access, instruction management…) Dalkia manages technician availability schedules, enabling quick input and information dissemination to other applications within the company’s information system (emergency assignment, mobile access, instruction management, etc.). This tool ensures optimal resource allocation thanks to a combination of manual and automatic scheduling, all while maintaining a clear and comprehensive view of technician schedules, their availability, and specific activity windows (on-call periods, workload, etc.). The solution also facilitates improved communication and real-time updates, essential for daily operational responsiveness and consistent reporting to clients before, during, and after interventions.
