The challenge
To optimize its daily operations—from order taking to gas delivery—Messer implemented a Transport Management System (TMS). While the workload was reduced and standard order management was achieved, the chosen TMS could not address all transport and logistics challenges.
Before implementing Nomadia’s optimization engine, Messer relied on planners who manually prepared liquid gas delivery routes for each plant. Deliveries were made by tanker trucks. Due to the workload and complexity, no new daily orders were accepted after 4:00 PM, as 1–2 hours were required to plan deliveries. In case of bad weather, special deliveries had to be organized. Manual planning did not allow for optimal vehicle use, route optimization, or achieving high on-time delivery rates.

The solution provided by Nomadia
With the implementation of TourSolver and vector maps containing all road information, Messer can now calculate vehicle speeds on different road types based on their loads and automatically organize vehicle routes and visit sequences according to weather conditions and preconfigured road data.
Nomadia’s powerful optimization algorithm can process delivery schedules for 50 vehicles and 200 clients in under 10 minutes. Strategic objectives are achieved: shorter routes, lower costs, optimal vehicle utilization, improved customer satisfaction, and maximized company profits.
