FAQ about Nomadia TourSolver
To what extent are my data secure and confidential?
TourSolver is built around Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture.
This means that your business data remains secure, confidential, and tamper-proof when stored in the application thanks to this platform's shared management system. Service continuity is ensured by its flexible and optimized architecture (automatically scalable) that adapts to peaks in usage and varying geographical coverage requirements. All of these conditions combine to provide a seamless cloud experience with TourSolver.
How long are my route optimizations saved?
Each route optimization performed in TourSolver is saved in a simulation. Simulations are then stored for a variable period depending on the validation cycle:
- A saved but unvalidated simulation is stored in TourSolver for two months.
- A saved and validated simulation is stored in TourSolver for one year (12 months).
How can I prioritize certain time slots?
Sometimes, customer experience takes precedence over reducing mileage or CO₂ emissions. For example, premium customers may require deliveries at specific times in order to be fully satisfied, even if this means longer journeys.
To guarantee these priority time slots in TourSolver, use the “Fixed Slot” constraint. This blocks the specified time slot for the customer, ensuring that their order is delivered at the desired time.
Note: Using a fixed slot reduces the flexibility of the optimization algorithm, as it limits route options. However, it ensures that priority customers are served at the right time.

How can you prioritize the fewest possible kilometers or the most planned customers?
During optimization, you can set priorities in the optimization settings under the Optimization Priorities tab. Adjust the following settings according to your objectives:
- Reduce mileage: Low / Normal / High
- Reduce working time window: Low / Normal / High
- Maximum number of visits: Low / Normal / High
- Use as few resources as possible: Low / Normal / High
These settings influence how the optimization algorithm balances your constraints.
Tip: Assign a different priority level to each setting for best results. Setting all constraints to “High” does not usually yield optimal results.
How can I optimize geocoding in TourSolver?
Provide complete and accurate addresses. Ensure that each address includes the street name, number, postal code, city, and country. Clean and consistent data improves geocoding results.
Use separate fields for each component of the address. TourSolver supports two formats for entering address information:
- Structured columns—Street, Zip code, City, and Country entered separately.
- Single combined field—Complete address entered in a single column.
👉 To ensure accurate geocoding, choose one format and use it consistently. Do not use structured columns and a combo field simultaneously in the same dataset, as this may result in errors or inconsistencies in address recognition.
Check the district information. For greater geocoding accuracy, always specify the exact district when entering addresses. TourSolver now includes a dedicated “District” column, allowing the system to refine the search and locate the desired area more effectively.
👉 The systematic use of the district field ensures that addresses correspond to the correct geographical area and reduces errors in route planning.
How can I geolocate my delivery drivers?
Configure the mobile app > Change general settings.
- Number of days available in the calendar
- Automatic synchronization frequency
- Display travel time information
Define privacy rules: In the mobile app configuration, enable privacy in accordance with the relevant rules (such as the GDPR).
⚠ Warning: If you operate in a region with strict data protection laws (such as the GDPR), be sure to enable tracking only during business hours and days to remain compliant.
Displaying geolocation in the Execution tab
- Once configuration is complete, you can access the tracking view in the Execution tab
- Select a date: Enter the specific date scheduled for the trip you want to track.
- Open display settings: Click on settings.
- Change the tracking display: Here you can adjust the display of tracking information: available fields, fields to display, appointments to schedule, map, and calendar.
- Click on the map to activate and display the geolocation history
-A simulation that has been saved but not validated is stored in TourSolver for two months.
-A simulation that has been saved and validated is stored in TourSolver for one year (12 months).
