Sotraco: Their challenges and the solution provided by Nomadia

A specialist in reselling unsold press and bookstore items for 50 years, SOTRACO works with over 3,500 clients across France, including leading supermarkets and hypermarkets. Proximity and responsiveness are the main strengths of this press discounter, which relies on a team of around fifteen merchandisers and sales representatives to efficiently and quickly serve its entire network.

The challenge
In 2021, SOTRACO sought to digitize the entry of deposit and counting slips. A working group was set up to draft the specifications, assess providers, and select the ideal solution.
The solution provided by Nomadia
After evaluating several options, SOTRACO chose the EBP–Nomadia combination for its user-friendly interfaces and, above all, for the compatibility between the two solutions. Having a solution that offered intuitive digital entry in the field along with automatic and reliable synchronization of data with the commercial and accounting management tool was a decisive factor in selecting this new IT system. In total, no fewer than ten databases needed to interact seamlessly and efficiently. Despite these constraints, the project was rolled out in just two months, and the solutions were very well received by field teams, who immediately appreciated the many benefits.
Previously, merchandisers manually performed the calculations and created the slips, which naturally led to errors and wasted time. Then an operator had to re-enter the data. Thanks to the Nomadia solutions connected to EBP Gestion Commerciale PRO, we observed a 20% improvement in merchandiser productivity. Administrative processes have also been streamlined, allowing us to issue invoices on D+1 instead of D+20.
