The challenge
Boosting team efficiency and service quality for clients
Cleanliness is both a necessity and a top priority for facility managers across all sectors, whether public or private, industrial or commercial. To deliver the highest level of service, Derichebourg Propreté et Services Associés, a key division of Derichebourg Multiservices, must rely on powerful tools to enable its technicians to respond quickly and efficiently to all types of customer needs (cleaning, window washing, disinfection, green space maintenance, waste management, etc.).
With a deep understanding of the challenges in this sector, Derichebourg Propreté undertook a strategic review of how to manage its mobile technician teams whose coordination can be particularly complex due to project-specific constraints (multi-site issues, diverse types of interventions, operations requiring specialized skills, peak activity periods, etc.).
The division’s leadership issued a call for tenders to assess the benefits of combining geolocation and route planning tools. The goal of this initiative was to:
- Increase team efficiency
- Improve service quality
- Streamline costs
- Enhance working conditions and boost employee recognition
The solution brought by Nomadia
A powerful combination of planning and real-time mission management
In response to Derichebourg Propreté’s tender, Nomadia teamed up with a leading telecommunications provider to launch a pilot project in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region. This project integrated the following solutions:
- Fleet Performance: This geolocation tool, provided by Nomadia’s partner, ensures real-time tracking of field operations. A device installed in each vehicle, connected to a Garmin navigation terminal, transmits all field data (appointment completion, traffic, routes, etc.) via GPRS to a secure web portal that manages and logs mission statuses and parameters.
- Nomadia Field Service Management: This scheduling software suite, developed by Nomadia (and accessible via Fleet Performance through a connector), manages the intervention calendars of Derichebourg Propreté’s mobile technicians. The tool was fully customized to reflect the company’s operational needs (e.g., handling projects requiring several technicians at a single site). Derichebourg Propreté quickly saw the benefits of the system, which offered more precision and flexibility for both field technicians and local managers.
By combining geolocation with route planning, the teams gained several advantages:
- Clear visualization of each technician’s schedule for better team management
- Optimized travel times, leading to fuel savings and increased productivity
- Real-time monitoring of mission progress thanks to field data feedback (e.g., technicians can send updates via the Garmin device)
- Real-time adjustment of routes and schedules
- Complete traceability of missions, enabling comparison between planned and actual performance
- Balanced workload distribution across technicians

The mobile solution we tested quickly became indispensable! It enables us to deliver on two key development priorities: improving team efficiency and enhancing service quality for our clients.

Toward a Fully Automated Workflow
Thanks to the collaboration between the French telecom leader and Nomadia, Derichebourg Propreté now has a complete mobile solution that combines planning with real-time mission management. The company can leverage powerful scheduling algorithms to coordinate targeted, efficient, and cost-effective interventions.
Following the successful pilot in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Derichebourg Propreté launched a nationwide rollout of the mobile solution, now operational across all 50 of its sites in France. The full automation of technician workflows has become a reality, with plans to eventually include automatic invoicing after each mission.
