Since January 1st, 2020, Engie Solutions has brought together all B2B energy activities of the Engie Group, organized into three customer-focused business units: Cities & Local Authorities, Industries, and Tertiary & Proximity. Q How are your field resources organized, and who uses Nomadia Field Service on a daily basis?
Each installation is managed by a local branch. Field technicians receive their schedule every Friday for the following week. This schedule is drawn up by the branch's scheduling team, taking into account the full workload, skill requirements, client time constraints, the theoretical duration of each intervention, and the legal length of the working day. Nomadia Field Service is used by schedulers, dispatchers, and Performance Energy Managers, each with their own role in the planning chain.
Q How are urgent corrective interventions managed in real time?
The dispatcher receives and analyzes the client request. If the intervention is not urgent, it is inserted into the planned activity of the technician responsible for the installation and, where possible, merged with the nearest scheduled intervention. In urgent cases, the intervention is automatically assigned to the technician dedicated to corrective operations. Performance Energy Managers can also trigger an immediate intervention if they detect an operating anomaly, even before the client notices.
Q What is the most significant change after 10 years of using Nomadia?
The major change has been moving to daily technician scheduling. Before, they had their schedule for a month and had to manage completely on their own. We knew interventions were being carried out, but not exactly what had actually been done. This made it difficult to submit activity reports and regulatory call reports to clients on time. Today, technicians access their daily schedule via a tablet interfaced with Nomadia Field Service, and report their hours and call reports in real time. Paper forms have disappeared.
