The first field service management software designed around artificial intelligence, built to protect customer satisfaction, operational responsiveness and contract profitability.

Paris, 6 October 2026: Nomadia, the European vendor of field service management and route optimisation software, today announces SmartField, the major new release of Nomadia Field Service Management. Its promise: jobs orchestrate themselves, from the customer's first request through to proof of resolution, while your teams keep the final say.

The stakes go well beyond productivity. In an OpinionWay study for Nomadia (June 2026), 71% of consumers in France said they would penalise a company after a poor service visit, and 90% expect to be told the moment a technician is running 15 minutes late. The service experience has become a loyalty battleground, and that is precisely where SmartField's artificial intelligence earns its keep.

Responsiveness, customer experience, profitability: the three promises of SmartField

  • Emergencies are absorbed without breaking the schedule. A photographed issue becomes a qualified, prioritised, assigned ticket, and the route replans itself automatically: from roughly 10 minutes down to 40 seconds between the report coming in and a technician being assigned.
  • Customers book, and are served, around the clock. A conversational agent only ever offers slots that work for the routes and the contractual commitments: the promise made to the customer will be kept, without eroding operational profitability.
  • Contracts are costed before they are signed. The workload of a contract under negotiation is simulated on real operational data: capacity, skills and hiring needs, territory by territory.

And because team productivity remains the foundation, SmartField also lightens the daily load: service reports are dictated and arrive fully structured (from around 12 minutes down to 3 per report), reports reach the customer the same day, and managers can ask a single question of today's data to see the volume of overdue jobs and the cost of the penalties attached to them.

Indicative gains drawn from customer deployments; results vary by sector, route density and scope.

"The AI battle in field service won't be won on demos. It will be won on end-customer satisfaction, on the minutes handed back to teams, and on trust. That's the whole difference between showing off AI and turning it into a working tool."

Maxime Dubois, CEO, Nomadia

Five modules, live in a matter of weeks

SmartField comes as five modules: Smart Reporting and Smart Control, included in the subscription; Smart Ticketing, Smart Booking and Strategic Planning, available as options, priced on outcomes rather than usage. All of them activate on the customer's existing Nomadia Field Service Management environment: integration comes down to configuring each customer's specific context, for a go-live measured in weeks rather than years, with Nomadia's teams alongside throughout.

Under the bonnet: AI that computes, not AI that chats

The differentiation lies in the architecture. Where the market bolts conversational assistants onto unchanged tools, Nomadia's AI agents (voice, image, language) draw on the vendor's optimisation engine, which arbitrates more than 200 business rules (certifications, contractual commitments, travel times, working-time regulations) and is backed by thirty years of research. Every decision is computed, reproducible and explainable, a requirement the EU's AI regulation will impose on automated scheduling by December 2027. As a mission-driven company, Nomadia also applies a frugal-AI rule (the lightest model that does the job) and hosts its customers' data in the European Union (ISO 27001 certified).

"Our customers aren't switching on a roadmap: the modules plug straight into the engine and the data they already use. The architecture was ready for them. That's what AI designed in from day one actually means. And every decision remains computed, traceable and explainable."
